After building a strong reputation nationwide, Floor World Galway is fast building a reputation all on its own.
 Floor World has been trading in the Briarhill Business Park for almost a year and a half now. Located ideally on the outskirts of Galway city, the company caters for customers’ wooden, laminated and click tile-flooring needs. “We have an extensive range of all wood types and all of our floorings are pre finished, so once the floor is laid all the work is done,” says Floor World Galway Manager Damian Cunniffe. “However, we do employ an after fitting service to ensure that our customers are always satisfied,” he adds.
Damian is a trained carpenter and has been with Floor World from day one. “I decided I needed a change, but I didn’t want to leave the business I was in completely,” he says. Now with three fully trained sales staff, a stock room controller and four floor fitters, Floor World offers the entire package.
“Our call-out service is exclusive to Galway. This entails a chat in the house to see if the customer has any other concerns or requirements. The floor is then fitted and we make a second call out to make sure the client is totally satisfied,” he explains.
Since opening its doors, Floor World has been going from strength to strength. “It is funny because the different types of floorboards sell at different times of year; it almost comes in waves. Distressed boards are a major seller right now, but this would not be a solid seller. It is the popular and traditional woods of oak, maple and birch etc that will always be the big sellers,” says Damian.
