Nestled among the trees of Taylors Hill lies the Avalon Health and Beauty Salon. Since opening its doors in November of 2006 this health and beauty salon has built a strong reputation in Galway.

Located in the Ardilaun Hotel, Avalon is a place of calm and tranquillity in a busy face-paced hotel. The salon is designed with relaxation in mind. The rich yellow and terracotta colour scheme, soft furnishings and cane artworks set a serene tone in the salon.

The salon offers a wide range of relaxing, invigorating and indulging treatments with something to suit everyone. Avalon specialises in facials that cater to every skin type, body treatments, massage including hot stone massage, universal contour bodywrap, make-up application, tanning, eye treatments to soothe fine lines and diminish dark shadows, waxing, manicure and pedicures. Avalon is not just a space for ladies, with a full list of gentlemen’s treatments including aromatherapy facials, back cleanse, waxing and nail care, Avalon is a space for everyone.

With a team of three beauticians Avalon is a very hands on beauty salon. “We don’t use any machines here so it is very much focused on the client and interacting with that client. It is the type of place that is nice to escape to and get pampered. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the city so automatically there is a calm relaxed vibe to the salon,” said Sinead of Avalon.

Avalon is open seven days a week, which sets it apart from most beauty salons in Galway. This gives people ample opportunity to avail of the many treatments on offer at Avalon at a time that suits them best. “Being located in Taylors Hill makes it so handy for people to come to Avalon. It is about a seven minute drive from the city centre and there is ample car parking space right outside the door,” says Sinead.
