News that Boston Scientific is carrying out a global review of its operations has caused fears that Galway jobs may be at risk.
The company, which employs approximately 2,500 people in Galway, is conducting a review of its expenditure as it attempts to reduce costs and improve shareholders’ dividends.
One cost-cutting measure reportedly under consideration is a reduction in the number of employees, and this could have serious implications for the Galway plant.
