Leading accountancy and business advisory firm BDO Simpson Xavier officially opened its office in Galway this week.

Based in Dominick Street Lower, this city centre office will be the fourth in BDO's Irish operation, adding coverage to existing operational bases in Dublin, Limerick and Belfast.

The Galway operation will offer the business community of Galway a full range of financial and business advisory services including tax advisory, corporate finance, wealth management, family business (services) and audit services.

Initially staffed by ten personnel including two partners, BDO Simpson Xavier intends this number to grow to a team of over 30 within the next three years. Kevin McSharry (partner in charge) and John Byrne (partner) will be actively recruiting for key positions over the next few weeks.
