Name: Michael O'Keane
Appointment: Bank of Scotland (Ireland) Head of Regions (West)

Michael O'Keane has been promoted from the position of Regional Director of the bank's Galway office and will have responsibility for the Limerick, Galway and Sligo regional offices. Michael will lead a team of 70 colleagues working throughout the region and will also lead the human resources agenda for regional banking across the country. Michael O'Connor will continue as Regional Director in the Limerick office and will work under the direction of Mr. O'Keane.

Michael (51) a native of Birr, Co. Offaly, brings with him a wealth of financial services experience having worked in the bank since 1981. He was based in the Limerick regional office for ten years where he held a number of positions and moved to the Galway office in 1991 where he was promoted to Regional Director in 2001.
