“In this light Mister, everyone is cute. Are they smart, is the question…”
An atmospheric, musically dazzling, smoky trip of a show, ‘Score’ pays homage to film noir. Specifically, a fictional Irish film noir classic, complete with Lena the femme fatale, and a sprawling, hallucinatory soundtrack created live onstage.
There’s a woman, a fat man with alarmingly high-waisted trousers, and the subtle whiff of violence. Sit back. Open your eyes. Dream.
Written and performed by Alan Howley, Jack Cawley and Kevin McGee, the show also features a mystery guest performer each night to play the hypnotic and dangerous Lena.
Score is on in the Nun’s Island Theatre, as part of Galway Theatre Festival, on Saturday 30 April at 9pm, and Sunday 1 May at 6pm and 9pm.
Tickets cost €12/€10 with an early bird rate of €8. For more information visit www.tht.ie
