The Connacht Property Auction is noting strong interest in early 2015 and is now taking entries for its online auctions and upcoming public auctions which will be held on 23 April and 25 June, in the Menlo Park Hotel. The auction group’s first auction in 2015 took place on 26 February and successfully sold 21 of the 24 properties offered.
The report for the first three months of the year from property website Daft.ie was in line with the auction group’s findings, with increased asking prices in all counties in Connacht and indeed Clare. The report showed increases of 6.2 per cent in Galway City and 9.9 per cent in Galway County. There was also positive improvements in Mayo of 7.1 per cent, Roscommon 13.7 per cent, Leitrim 7.3 per cent, and Sligo 5.3 per cent, while Clare also improved with growth of 11.7 per cent noted.
