Following a networking breakfast, the Ambassador was introduced by the Deputy President of Galway Chamber Conor O’Dowd.
In her address, Ambassador Lokesh spoke of the potential of India for Irish companies, of the significance of the ‘Make in India’ initiative rolled out by the Indian government and of the desire of the Indian government to do business here.
Speakers at the event included Michael Burke of Chanelle, Mary McGinley, KPMG; Garry Forde, Enterprise Ireland; Nilakanthi Ford from the Ireland India Business Association; Dave Cahill, Creganna; Patrick McDonagh, Boston Scientific and Professor Lokesh Joshi, NUI Galway.
Each speaker gave first-hand accounts of doing business in India and how their particular story could help others. The Ambassador concluded the event by hoping that this inaugural event would be followed by many more.
