A special Galway Races ‘Even Money’ pre-race fundraiser will take place on Friday, 2 August at Monroe’s Live in aid of Irish Injured Jockeys and Voices for Down Syndrome Galway.
The event, which starts at 12.30pm, is being organised by John Butler Sports Injury Clinic, Liosbán and will feature Richard Pugh of Irish Point-to-Point as compère for the afternoon along with some famous jockeys and trainers.
Irish Injured Jockeys is a fund for jockeys who have been injured and are unable to earn a living, while Voices for Down Syndrome is a charity which raises much needed funds in order to provide a necessary Speech Therapy service in Galway for children with Down Syndrome. All proceeds will be divided evenly between the two, hence the name, ‘Even Money’!
Tickets, are priced at €50 and include a Champagne reception courtesy of Irish Distillers, a BBQ and free drink, thanks to Monroe’s Live, a monster raffle with exceptional prizes, and a free a free €5 bet, race card and pen, supplied by Boylesports. Castle Print has also generously provided free printing facilities.
Helping you to mark your card on the day will be a panel of famous jockeys and trainers and afterwards there will be a complimentary bus to Ballybrit, courtesy of Bus Éireann.
