I had occasion to be admitted to UHG in the recent past. It was my first time being admitted to this hospital and, from the moment I entered A&E to my discharge four days later, I got top class care as a public patient.
I was under the care of kind, caring nurses and doctors at senior and junior level. My care in St Pius and St Michael’s was one hundred percent; paramedics, radiology, haematology, household staff, cleaning staff, porters were all so caring.
Meals were presented tastefully by gracious staff. Hygiene could not be faulted. Staff worked long hours non stop but yet had time for any patient who needed them. My follow-on outpatient care appointments were prompt.
I wish to thank each and everyone who attended to me. Technology may have improved a lot for nurses and doctors but the legwork remains as it always was: hard and fast. We are privileged in this country to have such a competent all embracing health service.
